Job summary

Skillforce in Peterborough, NH is seeking experienced Ironworker Welders who take pride in their work and lead by example, with long‑term growth and a chance to step into leadership.

You’ll connect, rig, bolt‑up, read drawings, and perform SMAW welding. You’ll lead small crews, mentor teammates, and uphold safety standards while delivering projects on schedule. Relocation bonus offered for the right candidates; Northeast travel required.

Qualifications

• At least 2 years of ironworking experience.
• Proven experience with structural steel and precast erection.
• Certified in SMAW (3G limited thickness) and stainless SMAW (1G).
• OSHA 10 certification preferred.
• Must have your own ironworker and welding tools.
• Strong leadership skills and ability to work independently.

Responsibilities

• Independently connect, rig, bolt-up, and lay deck.
• Read and interpret structural steel, precast, and decking drawings.
• Perform limited thickness SMAW welding (carbon steel & stainless).
• Lead small crews and guide projects through multiple phases of erection.
• Train and mentor team members on proper welding and erection techniques.
• Maintain productivity while upholding strong safety standards.
