What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Provide primary support to the Coding Supervisor in supervising coding, abstracting, and reimbursement processes
- Ensure compliance with ICD-10-CM/PCS guidelines, CPT, and coding conventions across all facilities
- Monitor reports and workflows to identify opportunities for improvement in operations
- Provide training and support to coding personnel to ensure accurate and timely coding
- Conduct research on coding issues and assist in the reconciliation of coding reports

What is Required (Qualifications):
- Associate degree required
- AHIMA Certified Coding Specialist certification
- Minimum of five years of inpatient hospital coding experience in a large healthcare institution
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Proficiency in health information systems and MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)

How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Certification as RHIA or RHIT or equivalent experience
- Demonstrated problem-solving and personnel management skills
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks under pressure
- Experience in database management and spreadsheet design
