Job summary

DLA Careers in the United States is seeking a Supervisory Inventory Management Specialist to lead planning and logistics for assigned commodities. You will guide staff, coordinate activities, and apply comprehensive planning knowledge to supervise operations and deliver strong customer support.

The position requires DoD certification, DoD acquisition lifecycle familiarity, and experience with demand, supply and material support planning.

Qualifications

One year of specialized experience at GS-11 level or equivalent.
Experience with managing teams and implementing new planning tools.
Analyzing trends and providing customer/agency support for programs.
Evaluating tools, policies and processes to improve planning.
Experience with demand, supply and material support planning.
Experience in planning and coordinating material actions.

Responsibilities

Assist with planning, organization, coordination and directing staff on item planning activities.
Provide operational control and support to the Branch for planning responsibilities.
Provide logistics support for assigned commodities and develop innovative supply solutions.
Develop and present recommendations to enhance programs for customer support.
Apply knowledge of planning missions to supervise operations and analyze trends.
Monitor collection, consolidation and analysis of metrics to inform Branch Chief.
