Defense Logistics Agency is seeking a Supervisory Inventory Management Specialist to oversee planning and sustainment activities for DLA and IA material support. The role ensures timely forecasts, availability of parts, and coordination across military and civilian teams to meet production schedules.

The position emphasizes leadership, DoD policy compliance, and an ability to manage complex supply chains within a federal framework.

Qualifications

• Specialized experience in production methods and material requirements for support/repair of aircraft and related end items.
• Experience with demand, supply and material support planning.
• Experience in planning and coordinating material actions.
• Experience with various supply and production management automated systems/products and their interrelationships.
• Experience in wholesale/retail supply functions.

Responsabilités

• Supervises planning and sustainment personnel responsible for establishing current and future shop requirements for DLA and Non-DLA materials.
• Oversees material supportability planning and analysis for project and shop workloads and resolves issues impacting supply needs.
• Maintains DLA’s mission, functions and responsibilities to support IA production.
• Directs the Planning team in providing timely material support forecasts to ensure future workload accomplishment.
• Analyzes supportability planning documents and develops availability strategy to ensure material by coordinating support for aircraft production schedules requirements.
• Collaborates with civilian and military personnel to ensure accuracy of scheduled phased requirements and timely deliveries of material to support IA production.
