Job summary

Nanotech Energy in Chico, California is seeking an Inventory Manager to lead receiving, warehousing, material control, inventory accuracy, and shipping for NERD and NEMO. You will own physical and transactional control of battery materials, components, WIP, finished cells, packaging, and related supplies.

The role requires overseeing cycle counts, discrepancies, ERP/MES reconciliation, and continuous improvement in inventory accuracy and service.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in supply chain, logistics, operations, business, or a related field.
• Seven or more years of inventory, warehouse, materials-management, logistics, or related experience, including at least three years of direct personnel-management experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead receiving, warehouse, material-handling, inventory-control, finished-goods, and shipping personnel and activities across NERD and NEMO.
• Verify receipts against purchase orders, specifications, quantities, lot/serial data, packaging, condition, shelf life, and required documentation.
• Record inventory transactions promptly in PLEX MES and maintain accurate identity, status, location, genealogy, quantity, movement, consumption, and shipment records.
• Stage incoming material for Quality inspection; maintain pending, accepted, quarantined, and rejected material segregation and prevent unauthorized use or shipment.
• Maintain approved storage, preservation, FIFO/FEFO, humidity, temperature, chemical-compatibility, security, access, and shelf-life controls.
• Plan and execute material kitting, issuance, replenishment, WIP transfers, finished-goods control, packaging, shipment, returns, and disposition movements.
• Conduct cycle counts and physical inventories; investigate discrepancies and reconcile PLEX MES inventory with SAGE at least quarterly.
• Monitor shortages, excess, obsolescence, shelf-life risk, location errors, and material-readiness constraints and coordinate corrective action with Procurement and Operations.
• Maintain audit-ready records, warehouse safety, hazardous-material controls, shipping compliance, KPI reporting, and continuous improvement in accuracy and service.
