Job summary

Holy Cross Health in Fort Lauderdale, FL is seeking a Radiologic Technologist to expertly operate radiographic and digital imaging equipment and position patients for safe studies. You will acquire images, transmit to PACS, and communicate with the care team throughout procedures.

Responsibilities include patient transport, assisting with transfers, and coordinating with the physician operator to ensure safety and accurate diagnoses.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an AMA approved Diagnostic Radiology program.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
• Able to respond on-site within 30 minutes when on-call.
• Florida Licensed Radiologic Technologist, ARRT credentialing.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrates knowledge of radiographic and digital imaging equipment and proper table positioning for patient safety.
• Acquires images and sends them to PACS as part of the imaging workflow.
• Communicates clearly with team members verbally and in writing.
• Transports patients to and from procedural areas, admissions, and recovery areas as needed.
• Assists with patient transfer to and from the procedure table and stretcher.
• Maintains ongoing communication with the physician operator during procedures to support safety and care.
• Willing to learn new procedures and coordinate in-service/education for others.
• Administers contrast media under physician direction and responds to adverse reactions appropriately.
• Reviews history, labs, and prior imaging to correlate with procedures and communicates findings.
