Job summary

Tata Communications is seeking a qualified professional for infrastructure operation, maintenance, and fault management across building systems. You will perform daily routines, coordinate with vendors and schedule preventative maintenance while participating in on-call rotation to ensure service quality.

The role requires valid US driver’s license, telecom and data center experience, and the ability to work outside regular hours. Strong English communication and teamwork are essential.

Qualifications

• Valid driver's license.
• Data Center / Telecom Experience Required.
• Experience with UPS, Generators, Chillers, HVAC, Switchgear, etc.
• Experience with Building Management Systems and Alarm Integration.
• Experience with Single Line Diagrams and Interpretation of Mechanical and Electrical Schematics.
• Perform Daily Routines, Manage Preventative Maintenance, Vendors, and Contracts (Scheduling and Terms).
• Ability to Train others on infrastructure operation and fault management.
• Knowledge of ISO/ISAE auditing a plus; Knowledge of IP, DWDM, and Ethernet.
• Knowledge of CAT-5/6 and Networking Media.
• Knowledge of ODFs and RJ-45 terminations.
• Knowledge of testing equipment (OSA, OTDR).
• Knowledge of proper cable management (power, optical, and electrical).
• Microsoft Office proficiency.
• Good spoken/written English.

Summary Of Functions

Analysis, interpretation and evaluation of various building infrastructure systems. Installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of telecommunication equipment. Can be called to work outside of current workplace to ensure quality of service to customers. Must be willing to participate in on-call duty tech rotation schedule including call outs to remote/isolated terrestrial locations. Motivated to share experiences, cross train, and transfer knowledge with lesser experienced colleagues.

Requirements / Qualifications

• Valid driver's license
• Data Center / Telecom Experience Required
• Experience with various building infrastructural elements such as: UPS, Generators, Chillers, HVAC, Switchgear, etc.
• Experience with Building Management Systems and Alarm Integration
• Experience with Single Line Diagrams and Interpretation of Mechanical and Electrical Schematics
• Perform Daily Routines, Manage Preventative Maintenance, Vendors, and Contracts (Scheduling and Terms)
• Ability to Train other on infrastructure operation and fault management
• Experience with Auditing and Compliance (ISO/ISAE) a plus Knowledge of IP, DWDM, and Ethernet
• Knowledge of standardized Ethernet cable structures (CAT-5, CAT-6, etc.), SFP s, and Networking Media
• Knowledge of passive interconnections elements (ODF s, DDF s, etc.) and RJ-45 terminations
• Knowledge of testing equipment (OSA, OTDR, etc.)
• Knowledge of proper cable management (power, optical, and electrical)
• Good knowledge of Microsoft Office Products
• Good spoken/written English

Base Salary:

$69,091-$90,855.. The salary may be adjusted within this range based on the candidate's qualifications, experience, and the specific needs of the position
