Job summary

Dallas Area Rapid Transit Inc seeks a Senior Internal Auditor to lead complex, risk-based assurance engagements across DART operations, programs, projects, contractors, and business processes. You will independently manage engagements from planning through reporting, evaluating governance, risk management, and controls, and communicating results to senior management.

You will provide guidance to other auditors, maintain objectivity, and support alignment with Global Internal Audit Standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, business admin, public admin, information systems, data analytics, engineering, or related field.
• 4+ years of progressively responsible experience in internal audit, external audit, public accounting, compliance, risk management, investigations, or related field.
• One credential such as CIA, CPA, CISA, CFE, CISSP or progress towards one within 6 months of hire.
• Proficiency with PC software including Microsoft Office; data visualization and audit analytics tools.

Responsibilities

• Lead complex assurance engagements across operations, programs, projects, and contractors.
• Plan, scope, and manage engagements from planning through reporting.
• Evaluate governance, risk management, and controls; provide practical recommendations.
• Coach team members and ensure engagement quality, budget, and schedule.
