Job summary

First Command Financial Services, Inc. is seeking an Internal Audit Associate III to lead designated fieldwork, perform testing, and document workpapers across audits.

You will coordinate with the Audit Director and business units to ensure accurate, timely fieldwork and remediation tracking. The role requires strong knowledge of audit methodologies, data analysis, and communication to present findings to management and support risk mitigation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting or a related field preferred.
• At least 4-7 years of internal audit, external audit, risk, compliance, or related control experience.
• Experience in Broker Dealer, Registered Investment Advisor, Banking, or SEC/FINRA/OCC regulated environments.

Responsibilities

• Leads or facilitates fieldwork, interviews, and status discussions with business process owners.
• Coordinates and performs fieldwork execution, testing, and follow-up.
• Documents work papers thoroughly to support conclusions and enable review by leadership.
• Communicates fieldwork status, risks, and preliminary results to management.
