Job summary

The University of Minnesota Law Library seeks a self-motivated, collaborative professional to lead the Interlibrary Loan and Document Delivery services. This full-time, on-site role includes supervision of 1–2 student assistants and collaborates with faculty, students, and staff to support curricular and research needs.

Responsibilities include managing the ASAP service, resolving complex requests, and ensuring copyright compliance.

Qualifications

MLS degree from an ALA-accredited institution.
Minimum of two years of access services or ILL/delivery experience in an academic or legal library.
Demonstrated knowledge of current ILL and document delivery developments.
Evidence of strong service philosophy and communication skills.
Ability to balance multiple requests and prioritize workload.

Responsibilities

Manage the Library's ASAP service for high-volume delivery of materials.
Resolve complex borrowing and document delivery requests from faculty, students and staff.
Source, request, and supply materials from Law Library, campus libraries, and external institutions.
Oversee all borrowing and lending aspects of ILL and intercampus services.
Utilize OCLC ILL, Adobe Acrobat Pro, and other library resources for retrieval and delivery.
Ensure licensing and copyright compliance for ILL and document delivery.
Compile statistics and analyze data to guide operational improvements.
Engage in research, scholarly activity, and professional service.
