Job summary

Vector Security in Columbia, MD is seeking a Lead Systems Technician to oversee installation and service of integrated security systems including Burg and Fire Alarms, Access Control, and Video Solutions. You will apply strong technical aptitude and design considerations while ensuring compliance with local codes.

You will train junior technicians, coordinate with AHJs, and communicate across teams to deliver high-quality, reliable security solutions for residential and commercial sites.

Qualifications

• Must have a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum 2 years in fire detection, signaling, CCTV and access control.
• 5+ years industry experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Install/Service integrated systems including Burg, card access, video, and fire alarms.
• Troubleshoot systems in high-end residential and commercial applications.
• Demonstrate proficiency in software and programming for primary manufacturers.
• Assist design and deployment while adhering to local codes and AHJ requirements.
• Train and mentor technicians; review work and ensure quality.
