Job summary

Mathnasium is seeking a Lead Instructor in San Marino, CA to deliver individualized math instruction and serve as an instructional leader within our center. You will guide students through tailored learning plans using the Mathnasium Method and monitor progress to foster growth and confidence.

You will coach instructors, model effective teaching practices, and help maintain a positive, collaborative learning environment while partnering with Center Leadership to ensure a high-quality student

Qualifications

• Strong arithmetic and Algebra I skills; Math Literacy Test required.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Mentor, motivate, and collaborate with instructors.

Responsibilities

• Deliver individualized math instruction using the Mathnasium Method, focusing on conceptual understanding, procedural fluency, and student growth.
• Support students from kindergarten through middle school with varying skill levels and learning needs.
• Guide students through personalized learning plans while tracking progress, celebrating achievements, and encouraging confidence and independence.
• Take ownership of student progress by monitoring performance, identifying areas for improvement, and supporting students in reaching learning goals.
• Model effective teaching strategies while coaching, mentoring, and providing constructive feedback to instructors.
• Assist with instructor onboarding, training, and maintaining consistent instructional standards.
• Support student behavior management and foster a positive, engaging learning environment.
• Build positive relationships with students and families through professional communication and exceptional customer service.
• Communicate student progress and instructional recommendations with parents and guardians.
• Collaborate with fellow instructors and Center Leadership to ensure a consistent, high-quality student experience.
• Partner with Center Leadership to support daily center operations, scheduling needs, and overall center success.
• Assist with student assessments, instructional planning, and other center responsibilities as needed.
• Help maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming learning environment.
