Job summary

AHRC New York City in Staten Island is hiring a Lead Instructor for the PE Pre-ETS program to prepare students with intellectual and developmental disabilities for employment.

You will use AHRC's curriculum, collaborate with DOE staff and ACCES-VR, deliver engaging lessons, and monitor progress while maintaining records.

This full-time role offers a 9am-5pm schedule, Monday through Friday, with comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• Masters degree and at least 2 years of relevant experience; or a Bachelors degree with 5 years of relevant experience.
• Minimum of 2 years working with people with disabilities.
• Experience with program design or curriculum development required.
• Ability to communicate effectively.
• Strong organizational skills and initiative in diverse responsibilities.

Responsibilities

• Assist with enrollments for the program and ACCES-VR referrals.
• Deliver Pre-ETS instruction using approved curriculum across four service areas.
• Prepare lesson plans and materials and maintain schedules.
• Promote student involvement and monitor progress.
• Collaborate with DOE administrators, teachers, counselors, and transition staff.
• Maintain attendance records and submit required reports.
