Your resume and cover letter, tailored to exactly what they’re hiring for.
Alpha School seeks a Lead Instructional Coach to oversee a campus, coach Guides, and ensure three core commitments: genuine enthusiasm for learning, accelerated progress, and development of practical life competencies. You will mentor Guides, analyze data, and guide teams to uplift student outcomes.
This is a full-time role with immediate benefits access; compensation is $200,000 USD per year, paid weekly, and relocation may be considered for the right candidate.
The most meaningful support you can offer a student scoring 99% is to refuse labeling it 100%. Not out of indifference — but because you know they're capable of reaching it, and lowering expectations is the true disservice. If this reasoning resonates, continue reading. If it feels too demanding, this position will not be a fit.
Alpha students don't attend traditional lectures. They advance through adaptive applications at double the speed of conventional classrooms while developing practical life skills simultaneously. Your responsibility is ensuring three core commitments are met for every student in your cohort: genuine enthusiasm for learning, accelerated progress at 2x speed, and acquisition of competencies beyond standard curricula. You simultaneously develop the Guides who uphold these commitments throughout your campus.
All actions are data-informed and conducted in person daily. Your time divides between your student cohort and the Guides under your mentorship - with identical expectations for both: demonstrable advancement, without compromise. When a Guide's session underperforms, documentation isn't the response; you observe, analyze, and resolve it before the day ends.
You’ll witness reserved students presenting with confidence to adults. You’ll observe a child who previously "despised school" requesting extended hours. And you’ll recognize that the expectations you maintained are precisely what enabled their growth, because upholding standards demonstrates your belief in their potential.
You may initiate a completely new campus from the ground up, establishing the foundational culture that shapes the institution. As the campus evolves, your role transitions from operational lead to coaching authority, cultivating the team that expands Alpha's approach throughout your region.
Execute Alpha's 3 Promises for both your student cohort and the Guides you develop: universal student engagement with learning, 2x accelerated progress, and development of practical life competencies.
Alpha reimagines the school day around faster learning, stronger mentorship, and more time for students to build real-world skills.

Alpha offers six-figure roles for people ready to help build a radically better school experience.
Alpha is fast-moving, ambitious, and student focused. It’s for people who want to improve the system, not maintain it.
