Job summary

The Children’s Museum of Indianapolis seeks a Director of Institutional Giving & Partnerships to lead strategy for securing corporate, foundation, government, and other institutional support. The role combines frontline fundraising with leadership of a team to manage relationships, proposals, and reporting.

You will build a diversified institutional pipeline aligned with museum priorities, partner with cross-functional teams, and drive multi-year commitments that sustain programs and campaigns.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree plus five years of fundraising management experience.
• Three years of people management experience with measurable results.
• Expertise in institutional philanthropy including corporate partnerships, foundation and government relations.
• Proven ability to solicit significant gifts from corporations, foundations, and government entities.
• Experience setting revenue goals, managing portfolios, forecasts, and using CRM analytics.

Responsibilities

• Develops and executes a comprehensive institutional giving strategy with goals, pipelines, and performance metrics.
• Personally manages a portfolio of high-level institutional prospects and partners, cultivating and soliciting gifts.
• Leads corporate philanthropy and partnership strategy including multi-year commitments and renewals.
• Leads private, community, and government funding strategies and strategic proposals.
• Builds donor/partner pipelines and coordinates with analytics for forecasting and reporting.
• Leads campaign-related institutional fundraising and engagement with museum leadership.
