Tech-24 A Commercial Food Service Repair Company Inc is seeking a Lead Installer – HVAC & Refrigeration in Baton Rouge, LA. This role leads commercial installations, troubleshoots in the field, and ensures safety and compliance from start to finish.

The ideal candidate has hands-on experience in both HVAC and refrigeration, can travel regionally, and lead installation teams. Strong mechanical, electrical, and reading blueprints skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Strong hands-on installation experience in both commercial HVAC and commercial refrigeration required.
• Previous experience leading or overseeing installation projects strongly preferred.
• Ability to independently complete installations and troubleshoot issues in the field.
• Strong mechanical and electrical knowledge.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, wiring diagrams, and technical manuals.
• EPA Universal certification preferred/required based on applicable work.
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
• Ability and willingness to travel regularly for installation projects.
• Ability to work independently and lead a team when required.
• Strong communication, organization, and customer service skills.
• Ability to lift 50+ lbs. and work in varying indoor and outdoor conditions.
• Ability to climb ladders, work from heights, and work in tight or confined spaces.
• Must own industry-standard hand tools.

Responsibilities

• Lead and perform commercial HVAC and refrigeration installations from start to finish.
• Install, connect, and commission HVAC systems, refrigeration equipment, piping, controls, and related components.
• Read and interpret blueprints, plans, wiring diagrams, and manufacturer installation specifications.
• Perform electrical, mechanical, piping, and refrigerant-related installation work.
• Diagnose and resolve installation issues in the field.
• Ensure installations are completed accurately, safely, and in accordance with applicable codes and manufacturer requirements.
• Lead and coordinate the work of other technicians or installers on assigned projects.
• Communicate project status, challenges, and completion details with customers, managers, and project teams.
• Maintain accurate documentation of labor, materials, equipment, and project progress.
• Ensure proper tools, materials, and equipment are available for each installation.
• Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
• Travel to customer locations throughout the region as needed.
• Represent TMR and Tech24 professionally at all customer locations.
• Follow all company safety policies and applicable OSHA and industry requirements.
• Participate in ongoing technical training and professional development.

Position Summary

As a Lead Installer – HVAC & Refrigeration, you will lead the installation of commercial HVAC and refrigeration systems from start to finish. This position is ideal for a highly skilled installer who can work independently, lead installation projects, troubleshoot issues in the field, and ensure every installation is completed safely, efficiently, and to company and manufacturer standards.

What We're Looking For

We are looking for a strong, experienced installer—not someone who needs to be trained from the ground up. The ideal candidate should have proven experience installing both commercial HVAC and refrigeration systems, be confident working independently, and have the ability to lead an installation from beginning to completion.

Candidates located in or around Baton Rouge or Hammond, LA are strongly preferred. The ability and willingness to travel for installation projects is required.

Compensation Transparency

The advertised pay range for this position is [30-40] per hour. Final compensation will be determined based on experience, technical certifications, installation expertise, skill set, and overall qualifications. Candidates with extensive experience leading commercial HVAC and refrigeration installations may be considered toward the higher end of the range.
