Job summary

Singer Equipment Company is seeking a Lead Installer in Meridian, Mississippi. This role provides on-site technical leadership to installation crews on kitchen equipment projects, coordinating activities to ensure quality workmanship and safe, efficient completion.

Ideal candidates will have construction-related experience, be mechanically inclined, and able to travel as needed. The position offers a comprehensive benefits package and opportunities for growth within a winning team.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Ability to travel 3–4 nights per week; 3–4 weeks per month.
• Experience in construction, electrical, plumbing, or forklift preferred.
• Must be able to work on construction sites, warehouses, and cafeterias.
• Mechanically inclined with skilled use of hand tools.
• Team player, reliable and energetic.

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise the delivery and installation of kitchen equipment locally and nationwide.
• Maintain clear communication with the General Contractor on-site.
• Guide and assist installation team members to maintain productivity and quality.
• Move heavy objects and operate power tools safely.
• Communicate directly with customers and project managers for successful execution.
• Occasional warehouse work and building maintenance may be required.

OVERVIEW

We are seeking dedicated and skilled candidates for the role of Lead Installer. This position serves as the lead installer on assigned projects, providing on-site technical leadership and direction to installation crews. The role does not have direct reports but is responsible for coordinating work activities, ensuring quality workmanship, and helping crews successfully complete installations safely and efficiently. This role offers an exciting opportunity to lead by example, innovate solutions, and contribute to building comfortable, efficient environments.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

• Lead and supervise the delivery and installation of various kitchen equipment and supplies locally and nationwide
• Able to take direction effectively and maintain clear communication with the General Contractor on-site
• Responsible for guiding and assisting installation team members to maintain productivity and uphold company standards while completing assigned projects.
• Moving heavy objects and working with power tools
• Communicating directly with customers and with our project managers is critical for the successful execution of the job
• Some warehouse work and building maintenance are required on rare occasions

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Ability to travel 3-4 nights per week, 3-4 weeks per month
• Extensive experience in construction, electrical, plumbing, and/or forklift
• Ability to work on construction sites, operational kitchens and cafeterias, warehouses and loading docks
• Mechanically inclined, skilled use of hand tools is required
• Team player, reliable, dependable, and willing to work
• Experience with company emailing and use of a smartphone
• Must have an acceptable driving record and active driver's license to be insurable to be able to drive a company truck
• Self-motivated, detail-oriented, energetic, personable, presentable, and articulate
• Physical abilities including heavy lifting up to 50 lbs. that will be required. Climbing, bending, kneeling, and squatting.
