The Lead Installation Technician is an essential role for Guardian Access Solutions, responsible for leading a small team to complete project installations to the customer’s satisfaction.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

  1. Assigns tasks to workers and adheres to installation schedule
  2. Supervises a small installation team
  3. Responsible for training from start to finish for onsite jobs
  4. Assist with loading and unloading of tools, equipment, and supplies for the job
  5. Responsible for keeping company vehicle clean and will notify the Manager with any issues regarding the vehicle
  6. Responsible for prepping the area for installation
  7. Digging post holes and trenches
  8. Mixing and pouring concrete
  9. Cutting loops and pulling wire through conduit
  10. Diagnose and resolve errors and technical problems
  11. Installation of new equipment
  12. Cleaning up the job site
  13. Willingness to learn new products
  14. Demonstrates strong customer service and collaborates seamlessly within a team setting
  15. Regular attendance at work and provides appropriate flexibility
  16. Adherence to safety guidelines and policies
  17. Other job related duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS:

  1. 3-5 years’ of construction experience, preferably relating to gates
  2. Prior experience in successfully leading small teams with essential leadership qualities
  3. Well versed with electrical current and complete understanding of construction blueprints
  4. Ability to perform independently as well as collaboratively within a team, and demonstrating a willingness to undergo on-the-job training as necessary
  5. As a condition of employment, employer will conduct a background check and drug screen prior to hire
  6. Valid Driver’s License with a clean driving record
  7. Willingness to travel out of town for projects
  8. Ability to work flexible shifts and adapt to different work schedule including on-call rotation for emergency after-hours service
  9. Ability to perform physical work outdoors year-round in a variety of weather elements for 8+ hours a day, 40+ hours a week
  10. Ability to understand, speak and write English

EDUCATION AND CERTIFICATIONS:

  1. High School diploma, GED, or equivalent

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

Work is performed in a fast-paced warehouse setting and in the field with frequent interruptions. The employee is required to stand; walk; dig; and reach with hands and arms. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 150 pounds. Duties may require standing and walking for long periods of time. The employee is expected to work alongside the crew and demonstrate the install and/or service process when necessary. The employee is required to perform the expected duties at offsite locations. Frequent need to drive a vehicle to other work locations is expected.

The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 20 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this position include close vision, distance vision, and the ability to adjust focus. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
