A leading company is seeking a Lead Travel Technician based in Nashville to manage on-site installations of security systems and structured cabling. This role requires technical expertise in low-voltage systems, supervision of a team, and offers significant overtime benefits.
TEKsystems is actively seeking a 100% Lead Travel Technician to work on commercial projects throughout the country. Candidates must be based in Nashville. The role involves leading on-site installations, from conduit and cabling to complex security systems, ensuring each project meets quality standards and is completed efficiently.
The candidate must be able to install, terminate, and test Cat6 cabling, security cameras, and related infrastructure, including structured telecom cabling, fire alarm systems, and other low-voltage projects. Skills required include reading blueprints, building cable pathways, running various cables (Cat6, fiber, coax), knowing NEX codes for low voltage, building server racks, mounting access points, cameras, access panels, fire alarm hardware, and testing systems. Technicians are expected to provide their own hand tools, cordless drills, and punch tools. All consumables and specific training will be provided by Ether.
This lead role will supervise 1-3 technicians. The position offers significant overtime opportunities.
Expert Level
The pay range is $30.00 - $35.00/hr. Benefits include medical, dental, vision, critical illness, accident, hospital coverage, 401(k), life insurance, disability, HSA, transportation benefits, EAP, PTO, vacation, and sick leave. Eligibility depends on employment classification and duration.
This is a fully onsite position in Nashville, TN.
