Job summary

Insight Global is seeking an experienced installation engineer to lead offshore subsea installation activities from tender through execution. You will develop installation procedures and methodologies, and support bid/tender efforts, scheduling, estimates, and risk registers.

The role requires 8+ years of offshore installation experience, familiarity with subsea installations, and strong client-facing leadership.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical, Civil, Ocean, Offshore, Structural, Marine, or related Engineering.
• 8+ years offshore installation engineering experience.
• Experience developing installation procedures and execution methodologies for offshore SURF and/or SPS projects.
• Experience with subsea installations (manifolds, jumpers, piles, mud mats, flowlines, risers, umbilicals, etc.).
• Experience leading constructability reviews, readiness reviews, and installation risk assessments.
• Strong knowledge of DNV standards (DNV-ST-N001 preferred).
• Client-facing and technical leadership experience.

Responsibilities

Job description

Shift/On-Call Schedule: 4 days onsite, Fridays WFH; Offshore project support required during execution phases (1-3 year into role)

Duration: PERM

Work Authorization: Must be authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship (U.S. Citizen or Green Card Holder)

This engineer will lead installation engineering activities across tenders, FEED studies, and project execution for offshore subsea developments. The individual will serve as the primary technical installation engineering focal point, partnering closely with project management, engineering disciplines, procurement teams, vessel operations, and external clients to ensure successful project delivery. Responsibilities include tender development, installation methodology creation, constructability reviews, risk assessments, installation procedure development, and offshore execution support. Strong communication skills are required as this role regularly interfaces with internal stakeholders, suppliers, and client representatives throughout the project lifecycle.
