Job summary

SRP is seeking a Lead Installation Technician in Hawaii to oversee on-site installation, programming, and service of security systems. The role includes leading technicians, coordinating with project teams, and ensuring safety and quality on all projects.

You will read CAD drawings, install cabling, and troubleshoot access control, CCTV, intercom, and intrusion systems while mentoring junior staff and handling after-hours support. A valid Hawaii license and OSHA familiarity are required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; electronics/low-voltage training preferred.
• 5–8 years hands-on experience installing or servicing security systems.
• Demonstrated leadership and/or mentoring experience.
• OSHA certification or to obtain within 90 days of hire.
• Valid Hawaii driver’s license and clean driving record.

Responsibilities

• Lead on-site installation projects from site preparation through closeout, ensuring specifications, schedule, and safety.
• Install, program, test, commission, and troubleshoot access control, CCTV, intercom, and intrusion systems on small to mid-size projects.
• Read CAD drawings and install low-voltage cabling to standards.
• Perform service calls, troubleshooting, and preventive maintenance, including after-hours and on-call.
• Coordinate daily work with Project Managers, electricians, GC, and other trades.
