Overview
Position: Lead Inspector - Peru, IN
Only qualified candidates with the below experience will be considered for this position.
Responsibilities
- Aircraft Inspections: Conduct incoming checks (before stripping), post-strip (metal/damage), primer application (thickness/coverage), logo/stencil placement, and final paint (runs, sags, debris, color, gloss).
- Technical Documentation: Interpret and apply blueprints, drawings, process specs, and technical manuals to daily inspections.
- Team Leadership: Train, mentor, and onboard new inspectors and technicians.
- Process Adherence: Design and follow daily inspection schedules, guiding complex maintenance checks.
- Quality Assurance: Verify work against customer requirements, approve/reject work, and manage defect documentation.
- Stakeholder Communication: Address stakeholder questions and maintain stakeholder satisfaction.
Essential Skills & Knowledge
- Deep understanding of aviation coating processes (stripping, priming, painting).
- Ability to read and apply complex technical drawings and specifications.
- Strong quality control fundamentals (thickness, gloss, visual defects).
- Leadership and training capabilities.
- Familiarity with relevant aerospace standards (ISO, NACE - likely applicable for industrial coatings).
