Qualifications

• Completed Phlebotomy program in an accredited college or university, and a High School Diploma or GED.
• 2 years experience in phlebotomy preferred; ASCP certification preferred.
• BLS or ACLS certification as per program requirements.

Responsibilities

• Obtain blood specimens by venipuncture/capillary puncture with minimal patient trauma.
• Instruct patients on proper urine sample collection and labeling.
• Maintain patient identification and specimen integrity; enter orders in Epic Beaker/LIS.
• Train and support junior staff; participate in quality improvement and workflow enhancements.
