Job summary

Centerline Logistics in Channelview, TX is seeking an experienced Master to oversee inland towing operations, supervise Captains and deck crews, and supervise vessel performance along the Gulf Inland Waters.

You will conduct management vessel inspections, ensure SIRE readiness, assist in scheduling SIRE inspections, and interface with customers on projects while developing operating and cost-control procedures. Proficiency with Microsoft Office is required.

Qualifications

• Five years of experience as Master on Inland towing vessels.
• US Coast Guard Masters license for Inland and Western Rivers, or 200 ton Near Coastal Master with tow endorsement.
• Minimum of two years shoreside vessel management.
• STCW Certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Supervise Captains, Mates, and Deck Crews.
• Conduct management vessel inspections on repair and maintenance standards.
• Ensure vessels are SIRE ready at all times and schedule inspections.
• Interface with customers on ongoing projects and develop operating procedures.
• Develop and administer operating and cost control procedures on company vessels.
• Recruitment, performance reviews and auditing of marine personnel.
• Operate company vessels as Captain when directed by leadership.
