Qualifications

• Associates in Engineering or Engineering Technology with focus in Plastics, Manufacturing or Mechanical; Bachelor’s degree in engineering preferred; or 10+ years of direct applicable experience in injection molding.
• 5+ years of hands-on experience in injection molding in addition to one of the aforementioned technical degrees.
• A working knowledge and experience with injection molding and ancillary equipment.
• A working knowledge of a wide range of thermoplastic materials and their properties.

Responsibilities

• Establish process conditions through scientific molding for new products.
• Troubleshoot molding processes and material or equipment issues.
• Evaluate tooling for areas of concern/improvement for quality and efficiency and recommend improvements.
• Collect and analyze data on individual processes to improve process capability.
• Document and maintain mold process sheets for accuracy.
