Qualifications
Associates in Engineering or Engineering Technology with focus in Plastics, Manufacturing or Mechanical; Bachelor’s degree in engineering preferred; or 10+ years of direct applicable experience in injection molding.
5+ years of hands-on experience in injection molding in addition to one of the aforementioned technical degrees.
A working knowledge and experience with injection molding and ancillary equipment.
A working knowledge of a wide range of thermoplastic materials and their properties.
Responsibilities
Establish process conditions through scientific molding for new products.
Troubleshoot molding processes and material or equipment issues.
Evaluate tooling for areas of concern/improvement for quality and efficiency and recommend improvements.
Collect and analyze data on individual processes to improve process capability.
Document and maintain mold process sheets for accuracy.
