Job summary

Anthropic is seeking a senior Infrastructure Engineer to design, build, and operate distributed systems that train, serve, and secure AI models. You will lead multi-month infrastructure projects, partner with researchers, and mentor engineers to raise the team’s technical bar.

You will own reliability, scalability, and security while shaping cross-team architectural direction and incident processes. This hybrid, office-based role requires strong communication and cloud expertise.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience building and running large-scale distributed systems in production.
• Proven ability to scope and deliver multi-month, ambiguous infrastructure projects.
• Experience leading engineers as a technical lead or mentor.
• Ability to make architecture decisions that others build on.
• Strong programming fundamentals in Python, Rust, Go or Java.
• Hands-on experience with Kubernetes, IaC, AWS or GCP.
• Excellent written and verbal communication across teams.
