Job summary

ITI Engineering seeks a Lead Software Engineer to provide technical leadership in software, automation, and infrastructure tooling for advanced military electronics and computing products operating in Windows and Linux environments. This role will work with cross-functional teams, program management, and customers in a fast-paced setting with rapid prototyping.

The position requires a Bachelor's degree and 7+ years of software development experience in Windows/Linux. U.S.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related engineering field.
• 7+ years of software development experience in Windows/Linux environments.
• U.S. Citizen able to obtain and maintain DoD Secret Clearance.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, debug, and maintain systems software, automation, and infrastructure tooling using C/C++, C#, Python, PowerShell, or similar languages.
• Develop Windows and Linux services, utilities, diagnostic tools, APIs, automation frameworks, and monitoring solutions.
• Troubleshoot complex issues involving applications, operating systems, virtualization, networking, storage, and hardware.
• Deploy, configure, automate, and troubleshoot virtualized environments.
• Lead root-cause analysis and develop permanent software and system improvements to improve reliability and performance.
• Implement secure configurations, system hardening, vulnerability remediation, and access controls.
• Collaborate with software, infrastructure, networking, cybersecurity, DevOps, and operations teams.
• Provide technical leadership to cross-functional development teams and support customer integration, testing, demonstrations, and technical activities.
• Travel up to 10%, including occasional international travel.
