Job summary

Fox Rothschild LLP is seeking a Lead Information Security Engineer to design, implement, and mature security controls across networks, cloud environments, and data. You will partner with Information Services teams to evaluate solutions, assess risks, and ensure secure deployments from ground up.

The role provides technical leadership for security platforms, guides remediation, and supports the firm’s evolving security architecture and risk practices.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in information security or equivalent.
• Minimum of five years of information security experience required, including hands‑on design, implementation, and maintenance of enterprise security technologies.
• Strong understanding of security architecture and cloud security principles, with hands‑on experience securing Azure environments.
• Proficiency with firewalls and network security controls.
• Experience with SIEM tools, including log source onboarding, configuration, and management.
• Strong knowledge of identity and access management (IAM) concepts and technologies.
• Experience with endpoint detection and response (EDR) platforms and endpoint security controls.
• Familiarity with zero trust network access (ZTNA) architectures and security principles.
• Experience designing, administering, and optimizing data loss prevention (DLP) and secure web gateway (SWG) policies.
• Understanding of DNS security concepts and DNS-as-a-Service solutions.
• Ability to review architecture plans for security risks and compliance with standards.
• Experience with vulnerability assessment and remediation processes.
• Experience with scripting or automation languages such as PowerShell, Python, Bash, or similar.
• Excellent written and verbal communication, able to translate security risks for technical and non‑technical audiences.

Responsibilities

• Design, engineer, and implement secure network solutions, cloud environments (Azure), and application security controls.
• Lead security architecture reviews for new technologies, identify risks and gaps, and provide technical recommendations.
• Secure Azure resources and IaaS deployments to meet security standards.
• Manage and onboard SIEM log sources for SOC use and monitoring.
• Design, implement, and optimize DLP policies and SWG controls to protect data.
• Develop and maintain security standards, controls, and configuration guidelines across infrastructure, cloud, and apps.
• Evaluate vulnerabilities, assess risk, and coordinate remediation with technical teams.
• Provide engineering support during security incidents, including containment and preventive measures.
• Evaluate security technologies and participate in PoC activities.
