The Role

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Lead Information Security Engineer with extensive cloud experience to join our Cyber Defense Engineering team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in cloud security and a deep understanding of securing cloud environments. This role involves designing, implementing, and managing security measures to protect our organization's cloud infrastructure and data.

Location

This role is a fully remote position within the United States.

The Main Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and manage security solutions for cloud environments.
• Monitor and respond to security incidents and alerts in the cloud.
• Conduct security assessments and vulnerability scans of cloud infrastructure.
• Develop and maintain security policies, procedures, and documentation for cloud security.
• Lead collaboration with other IT teams to ensure comprehensive security measures are in place.
• Provide technical guidance and support to other team members.
• Stay up-to-date with the latest security trends, threats, and technologies related to cloud security.

What We Look For in a Candidate

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Information Security, Computer Science, or a related field, and/or a m inimum of 5+ years of experience in cloud security.
• Candidate must be able to obtain Government Suitability.
• Experience in analyzing and engineering security controls within multi-cloud architectures (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud Platform).
• Experience with employment and integration of both native and 3rd party security tools and technologies such as SIEM, firewalls, WAFs, IDS/IPS, and endpoint protection.
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Experience in compliance and frameworks (i.e. CMMC and FedRAMP).
• Candidate must possess or be willing to pursue applicable professional/technical certifications such as CCSP.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Relevant certifications such as AWS Certified Security - Specialty, Microsoft Certified: Azure Security Engineer Associate, or equivalent are preferred.

Compensation

This information reflects the anticipated base salary range for this position based on current national data. Minimums and maximums may vary based on location. Individual pay is based on skills, experience and other relevant factors.

Location Based Pay Ranges:

$103,711 - $138,281 in these states: AL, AR, AZ, FL, GA, IA, ID, IN, KS, KY, LA, ME, MO, MS, MT, ND, NE, NM, OH, OK, PA, SC, SD, TN, UT, VT, WI, WV, and WY.
$108,896 - $145,195 in these states: CO, HI, MI, MN, NC, NH, NV, OR, and RI.
$114,082 - $152,109 in these states: AK, CA, CT, DC, DE, IL, MA, MD, NJ, NY, TX, VA, and WA.
