  • Establish clear developmental goals and demonstrate effective planning skills
  • Possess thorough knowledge of curriculum and child development
  • Participate in professional development
  • Align lesson/unit planning and assessments with curriculum
  • Tailor instruction to individual needs
  • Assess, document, and communicate learner performance following guidelines
  • Communicate effectively with students and families
  • Create a secure, stimulating environment promoting autonomy and collaboration

  • Engage in school activities and initiatives
  • Ensure compliance with all Office of Child Care regulations
Qualifications
  • Degree in Early Childhood Education preferred
  • Completion of all COMAR Staff Requirements for a Lead Preschool Teacher
  • Experience working with infants and toddlers in a daycare setting
  • Commitment to diversity and multicultural educational practices; ability to work in a diverse community

Pay Range: $44,000-$47,000. Salary commensurate with experience.
