The Goddard School of Baltimore (Locust Point) in Baltimore, MD is seeking a passionate Lead Teacher to implement our Wonder of Learning curriculum and lead daily activities that support each child’s growth. You will create a safe, nurturing classroom and communicate with families about progress and activities.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required; associate's or bachelor's in Early Childhood Education preferred
• CDA certification preferred
• 45-hour infant and toddler certifications required
• 1–2 years of experience with young children in licensed setting
• State-required pre-service training completed
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs

Responsibilities

• Curriculum and Instruction: Implement age-appropriate lesson plans using Wonder of Learning curriculum
• Classroom Management: Create a safe, nurturing and inclusive classroom
• Family Communication: Maintain open, effective communication with families
• Health and Safety: Supervise children and uphold licensing standards
• Professional Development: Engage in ongoing training and development
• Assessment and Documentation: Observe and document children’s progress
• Team Collaboration: Support assistants and resource teachers
• Behavior Guidance: Model positive guidance strategies
