Job summary

The Goddard School is seeking a passionate Lead Infant/Toddler Teacher at our San Francisco campus to foster a safe, nurturing environment using our Wonder of Learning curriculum. You will lead daily activities, collaborate with an Assistant Teacher, and work with a supportive faculty to advance children's development.

Qualifications include a degree in Early Childhood Education or related field, CDA or credential, and relevant coursework or experience in infant/toddler care.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Early Childhood Education, Elementary Education, Child Development or related field.
• 18 semester hours of coursework related to young children birth to age 8.
• Current CDA or Early Childhood Teaching Credential.
• Active enrollment in CDA Credentialing Program or in a degree program relevant to ECE.
• 12 ECE units including core classes to qualify for a teacher position.

Responsibilities

• Establish and maintain a safe, healthy and nurturing learning environment.
• Design room arrangements to support developmental goals.
• Develop an effective classroom management system.
• Post and adhere to health and safety policies and procedures.
• Promote healthy eating practices at meals and snacks.
• Maintain state teacher-child ratio requirements.
• Create lesson plans and adapt activities to individual needs.
• Provide activities that engage children in play, exploration and learning.
