Job summary

The Goddard School of Springfield, IL is seeking a passionate Lead Infant Teacher to join our nurturing team. You will implement an engaging, developmentally appropriate curriculum using our Wonder of Learning program and lead daily activities to support young children's growth.

Qualifications

• Requires Associate's or Bachelor's in Early Childhood Education with 6 credit hours (REQUIRED).
• CDA certification also required or equivalent.
• 1-2 years of experience with young children in a licensed childcare/preschool setting preferred.
• Has completed state-required pre-service training.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. in connection with child handling.

Responsibilities

• Lead curriculum implementation using Wonder of Learning curriculum to support each child’s growth.
• Create and maintain a safe, nurturing, and inclusive classroom environment.
• Communicate effectively with families about child progress and daily activities.
• Uphold health and safety standards and licensing requirements during activities.
• Pursue ongoing professional development and training to enhance teaching skills.
• Observe, assess, and document children’s learning to inform activities and share insights with families.
• Support Assistant and Resource Teachers to foster a collaborative team environment.
• Model positive guidance to support social-emotional growth and conflict resolution.
