Job summary

The Learning Experience – Hudson Yards in New York, NY is seeking a devoted Lead Infant Teacher to guide our infant classroom and nurture early development. You will oversee daily routines, collaborate with families, and mentor assistant teachers to deliver warm, high-quality care.

Ideal candidates hold a relevant degree or CDA, have infant development knowledge, strong communication skills, and a passion for creating a responsive learning environment aligned with the LEAP curriculum.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Associate degree in Early Childhood Education or CDA is required.
• Previous infant classroom leadership experience preferred.
• Strong understanding of infant development and developmentally appropriate practices.
• Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills.
• CPR and First Aid certification preferred.
• Must meet NY State and NYC childcare licensing requirements.

Responsibilities

• Lead the daily routines and educational experiences within the Infant classroom.
• Implement The Learning Experience's proprietary L.E.A.P. Curriculum through sensory exploration and developmentally appropriate activities.
• Support infants' cognitive, language, physical, and social-emotional growth through responsive caregiving.
• Supervise and coach Assistant Teachers to maintain a consistent, high-quality classroom experience.
• Maintain individualized feeding, diapering, sleeping, and care schedules.
• Build strong relationships with families through daily communication and developmental updates.
• Ensure compliance with all New York State and New York City health, safety, and licensing requirements.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming classroom environment.
