Job summary

Hire Up Recruiting is assisting a premier preschool in St. Louis Park, MN to hire a Lead Infant Teacher.

The role involves caring for 6 weeks to 1-year-old infants, with shifts from 7:30am to 4:30pm or 9:00am to 6:00pm, Monday through Friday. Responsibilities include providing a nurturing environment, forming strong relationships with infants, supporting daily routines, and communicating with parents about development and milestones.

Qualifications

  • 16 semester or 24 quarter credits in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, or a related field.
  • CDA Certification or completed degree in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, or a related field.
  • 1 year of experience in a licensed Early Childhood Education facility.
  • Must be at least 18 years old and able to pass background check.

Responsibilities

  • Provide a safe, warm, and nurturing environment that supports infants’ emotional and developmental needs.
  • Build strong, trusting relationships with infants through responsive, attentive, and individualized care.
  • Supervise and engage infants in age-appropriate sensory, developmental, and play-based activities.
  • Support infants’ daily routines, including feeding, diapering, napping, and maintaining consistent schedules.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and developmentally appropriate classroom.
  • Closely monitor each infant’s health, safety, comfort, and well-being.
  • Collaborate with fellow teachers and staff to create a consistent, caring, and enriching classroom environment.
  • Communicate openly and professionally with parents about their child’s daily experiences, development, milestones, and needs.
  • Plan and implement developmentally appropriate activities that encourage infants’ cognitive, physical, social, and emotional development.
  • Maintain accurate developmental observations and portfolios for each child.

  • REQUIRED Education:16 semester or 24 quarter credits in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, or a related field, a completed Child Development Associate (CDA) Certification, or a completed degree in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, or a related field
  • REQUIRED Experience:1 year of experience in a licensed Early Childhood Education facility
  • Mustbe at least 18years old
  • Mustmeet background check eligibility
  • Mustbe able to lift up to 50 lbs. in connection with the handling of children for the facilitation of programs, child safety, and potential emergency situations - for Infant Teachers, must be able to properly lift infants into and out of a crib
