About The Infant Teacher Position

The Lead Teacher is responsible for implementing curriculum in the classroom and supervising children. He or she must be knowledgeable in developmental appropriate practices to supervise assistant teachers and children, ensuring activities and curriculum are followed as directed by the Director.

Responsibilities
  • Maintain the appearance, cleanliness, and safety of the classroom.
  • Participate in staff meetings, academy events, and parent meetings as requested.
  • Supervise children during all activities.
  • Arrange the classroom into well-defined interest areas.
  • Direct activities of staff in the classroom to ensure smooth operation.
  • Communicate with parents and maintain developmental profiles for children.
  • Conduct parent/teacher conferences throughout the year.
  • Maintain classroom bulletin boards and family information boards.
  • Complete all required paperwork, such as daily notes, accident reports, and attendance records.
Requirements
  • At least 2 years of experience in Child Care or Daycare teaching roles.
  • Profound knowledge of child development and current educational methods.
  • Patience, flexibility, and a love for children.
  • Strong methodical and creative skills.
  • Professional, dependable, with strong communication and time management skills.
  • First aid and CPR certification.
  • Preferably a CDA or higher in Early Childhood Education with 45 hours of training.

Pay: $15.00 - $20.00 per hour
