Job summary

The Goddard School in New Hanover, PA is seeking fun and energetic teachers for our state-of-the-art classrooms. We welcome both full-time and part-time applicants who are passionate about early childhood education and helping children six weeks to six years old develop through play and guided learning.

Qualifications

• Associate or BA degree in Early Childhood Education or related field preferred.
• CDA Certification preferred or a plan to obtain with financial assistance offered.
• Experience working with children.
• Meet background check eligibility.

Responsibilities

• Understand and support the education program using the learning through play philosophy.
• Keep children within sight and sound supervision at all times.
• Change children’s diapers and/or assist with toileting where necessary.
• Communicate effectively and professionally with school personnel, children, and parents.
• Multitask in a lively environment and work well within a team.
• Handle crisis situations, including evacuating the building during emergencies.

Our classrooms are safe, nurturing environments for children six weeks to six years, offering age-appropriate opportunities to explore and discover. Highly trained teachers lead each child to reach developmental milestones, preparing the children for social and academic success.
