Job summary

The Goddard School of South Charlotte in Charlotte, NC seeks a warm, dependable Lead Infant Teacher to shape the infant program from day one. This full-time role emphasizes relationships, routines, and responsive care in a brand-new school environment.

You will nurture infants, build partnerships with families, and collaborate with a supportive leadership team to ensure safety, growth, and a positive classroom culture.

Qualifications

• Must meet North Carolina childcare licensing requirements.
• Degree or credential in early childhood education or related field.
• Experience in infant/toddler settings preferred.

Responsibilities

• Create a safe, nurturing, and engaging infant classroom environment.
• Build secure, trusting relationships with infants and families.
• Support each child’s social-emotional, physical, cognitive, and language development.
• Maintain predictable routines for feeding, diapering, rest, play, and transitions.
• Observe and support developmental milestones through responsive care and purposeful interaction.
• Communicate warmly and professionally with families about each child’s day, needs, and progress.
• Partner with Assistant Teachers and school leadership to maintain a calm, organized, and loving classroom.
• Maintain health, safety, sanitation, supervision, and licensing standards at all times.

Opening a brand-new school is a rare opportunity. We are seeking a warm, dependable, and experienced Lead Infant Teacher to help shape the care, culture, and classroom experience of our infant program from day one.

• NC Early Childhood Credential or equivalent qualification
• Relevant infant, toddler, or early childhood classroom experience
• Enrollment in an Early Childhood Education or CDA program
