Job summary

AE2S is seeking a Senior Industrial Wastewater Process Engineer to lead planning, design, commissioning, and optimization of industrial wastewater systems for manufacturers across sectors. You will guide multidisciplinary teams, evaluate treatment technologies, and drive compliant, practical solutions that improve operations.

Requirements include a Bachelor’s degree in engineering, 10+ years of relevant experience, PE eligibility or license, and strong client communication.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in environmental, chemical, or mechanical engineering.
• PE registration ideal or ability to obtain within 3 months.
• 10+ years of experience designing water or wastewater solutions.
• Experience interfacing with clients and leading multi-discipline projects.
• Experience with food and beverage industries.
• Strong communication skills.
• Proficiency with MS Office (Excel/Word/Outlook).
• Ability to travel for project responsibilities.
• Willingness to complete pre-employment screening as required by law.

Responsibilities

• Lead planning, design, commissioning, and optimization of industrial wastewater systems for manufacturers.
• Serve as process technical lead on multidisciplinary projects, guiding treatment technology selection and system performance.
• Develop treatment solutions via treatability studies, modeling, mass balances, hydraulics, and pilot testing.
• Navigate permitting requirements with regulatory agencies to ensure environmental compliance.
• Direct teams in preparing alternatives, cost estimates, documents, procedures, and startup deliverables.
• Advise clients, troubleshoot existing systems, and support proposals and project planning.
