Job summary

Smith+Nephew in Memphis is seeking an Industrial Plumber to diagnose, repair, and maintain a wide range of plumbing systems and process equipment across facilities. The role requires leadership, independent work, and strong technical expertise to ensure continuous operations.

Responsibilities include preventive maintenance, troubleshooting steam and water distribution, RO/DI water systems, backflow devices, and coordinating with vendors.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• State/local Journeyman Plumber license.
• Backflow certification required; recertification training as needed.
• Minimum 5+ years as an industrial plumber.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, repair, and maintain a wide range of plumbing systems and process equipment.
• Lead troubleshooting efforts and coordinate with contractors on projects affecting plumbing systems.
• Read meters, report water usage, and maintain DI/RO water systems.
• Maintain and service steam, hot water, and other distribution systems.
• Prepare maintenance tasks and update work orders in the CMMS.
