Job summary
Express Employment Professionals is seeking a Lead Industrial Electrician for 1st shift in Columbus, Indiana. This hands-on leadership role oversees maintenance and electrical troubleshooting to support plant equipment and automation systems.
The position requires 4+ years in maintenance or 2+ years in a leadership role, with an Associate degree or technical certification in Industrial Maintenance Technology or related field. Office hours and location in Columbus are provided.
Qualifications
- 4+ years of industrial maintenance, electrical maintenance, or automation experience or an Associate degree/technical certification in a related field.
- At least 2 years of leadership, supervisory, lead technician, or team lead experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Ability to read and interpret wiring diagrams and electrical schematics.
- Knowledge of electrical troubleshooting and repair techniques.
- Experience with PLCs and industrial automation systems preferred.
Responsibilities
- Lead and support maintenance technicians in daily electrical and automation troubleshooting activities.
- Troubleshoot, repair, maintain, and upgrade plant electrical systems.
- Work with PLCs, programmable controllers, VFDs, PWM drives, servo motors, and related equipment.
- Diagnose and repair electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
- Read and interpret wiring diagrams, schematics, blueprints, and technical drawings.
