Job summary

Green Home Solutions Central WA is hiring a Mold Remediation Technician to inspect homes, discuss remediation options, and guide projects from setup to completion.

Responsibilities include operating vehicles, positioning equipment, basic demo, and applying IICRC standards. Strong safety, communication, and team work are essential; certifications and ongoing training are encouraged.

Qualifications

• High school education or equivalent.
• Valid driver’s license with clean MVR.
• Able to safely lift up to 50 lbs., carry equipment up/downstairs.
• Strong interpersonal, verbal skills.
• Professional manner and team oriented.

Responsibilities

• Inspect clients' homes or spaces and discuss remediation options.
• Load/unload supplies and equipment; keep storage areas organized.
• Operate company van to job sites.
• Position air movers and dehumidifiers to remove moisture.
• Perform basic demolition tasks and apply treatments.
• Provide excellent customer service and communicate with the job leader.
• Follow safety protocols and wear PPE.
• Evaluate properties and propose solutions.
• Teach GHS/IICRC protocol to Inspectors/Technicians.
• Conduct commercial/industrial consultations.

Key Responsibilities:

The Mold Remediation Technician will meet with interested clients to inspect their homes/business spaces, discuss the results, and inform them of remediation options.

• Loads/unloads supplies/equipment into and from vehicles, cleans and returns materials and equipment to proper storage areas.
• Drives and operates a company van equipped with cleaning equipment, tools, and supplies to the work site.
• Assists in placing air movers and dehumidifiers in proper room locations to remove moisture from carpet, upholstery, and air.
• Performs basic demo tasks—cutting drywall, removing baseboards, and various flooring material, sprays fungicide and other materials.
• Provides exceptional customer service, treats property and contents with respect and care and brings any issues or customer concerns to the job leader.
• Follows proper safety practices, wears personal protective equipment as appropriate (gloves, respirators, Tyvek Suit) while working.
• Maintains clean and organized vehicle, equipment, and job site
• This position is responsible for evaluating Client properties to determine indoor environmental issues and formulating solutions.
• Advanced Estimating skills
• Level 3 Xactimate Certification
• Ability to check remediation work, consult Technicians and apply IICRC S520 Standard to remediation situations.
• Ability to check remediation work, consult Technicians and apply IICRC S500 Standard to water mitigation standards.
• Clear understanding of GHS protocol, products, techniques and overall vision of GHS of Central WA
• Impeccable communication and follow up ability with Clients.
• Ability to teach GHS/IICRC protocol, standards and vision to new Inspectors and Technicians.
• Perform Commercial and Industrial IEP Consultations
