Job summary

Lyte, based in Sunnyvale, California, seeks an experienced Operations Engineer to lead the manufacturing lifecycle of III-V photonic components, coordinating with foundries in Taiwan and Asia to qualify processes, scale yield, and ramp to high-volume production for Lyte's 4D FMCW lidar sensors.

You will own wafer process, bar-level facet coating, die testing, CoC assembly, burn-in, and test operations, while partnering with design and process engineering for DFM/DFT improvements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a technical field and hands-on experience with III-V semiconductor manufacturing.
• Experience leading products through NPI, pilot, and high-volume ramp.
• Strong Cp/Cpk, DOE and data-driven yield reporting.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day production of wafer process, laser bars, and photonic dies at partner fabs.
• Collaborate with wafer suppliers on quality control and epitaxial growth.
• Drive process improvements to support NPI qualification and sustained volume yield.
• Own post-wafer processes: facet coating, bar-to-die testing, AOI, CoC assembly, burn-in and testing.
• Lead QC and data analysis across epi, wafer fab, and CoC stages to meet reliability targets.
