Odys Aviation is seeking a Lead Propulsion Integration Engineer to own the integration of our hybrid-electric propulsion system, focusing on the Laila UAV program. The role covers motors, controllers, gensets, batteries, HV distribution, and related interfaces.

This is a hands-on senior technical role acting as the aircraft-level authority and primary focal point for external suppliers and the internal Power Systems team.

Qualifications

• B.S./M.S. in Aerospace, Electrical, Mechanical Engineering or related discipline.
• 8+ years in propulsion or electrical power systems with technical ownership.
• Strong fundamentals in electric propulsion, power electronics, batteries, generators and high-voltage distribution.
• Experience managing mechanical, electrical, thermal and control interfaces.
• Experience taking hardware from requirements through aircraft integration, verification and test.
• Understanding of electrical protection, HV safety, fault management and reliability.
• Experience coordinating supplier interfaces and cross-functional engineering teams.
• Hands-on mindset for rapid, informed technical decisions in a fast-moving project.

Responsabilités

• Own architecture and integration requirements for the aircraft-level propulsion system.
• Lead integration of motors, controllers, gensets, batteries, HV distribution and harnesses.
• Define and manage interfaces between propulsion subsystems and the aircraft.
• Ensure performance, power, mass, safety, reliability and maintainability requirements.
• Interface with external propulsion suppliers and internal Power Systems team.
• Lead integration trade studies, design reviews and issue resolution.
• Own propulsion verification and coordinate bench, ground and flight-test activities.
• Collaborate with Systems Engineering, Flight Controls, Structures, Manufacturing, Safety and Flight Test.
• Represent propulsion integration in aircraft-level reviews and drive readiness against milestones.
