Job summary

Georgia Building Authority seeks a Senior HVAC Technician for the Central Energy Plant, providing lead-level expertise in service, maintenance, and repair with safety and quality at the forefront. The role includes 24-hour emergency readiness and coordinating with CEP operations.

Under limited supervision, you will supervise HVAC Tech I and II, perform chiller and boiler work, and help plan maintenance schedules while maintaining equipment records.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in a related field is required.
• Four (4) years of job-related experience in engineering, maintenance, renovation, and construction of facilities.
• One (1) year of experience at the lower level Fac Maintenance Engineer 2 (FEP041) or position equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Lead, install, maintain, and repair HVAC systems.
• Supervise HVAC Tech I and II.
• Perform chiller and boiler repairs and maintenance.
• Inspect work for conformance with building and safety codes.
• Coordinate plant shutdowns with service contractors and GBA.
• Operate CEP computer control systems and monitor operating parameters.
