Job summary

Comfort Heating & Air Conditioning is seeking an HVAC Installation Mechanic for residential projects in Lexington, KY. You will disassemble old systems and install, start-up and troubleshoot new HVAC units, ensuring high-quality workmanship.

The role offers year-round full-time work, growth potential, paid orientation and training, and a company vehicle where applicable. A Journeyman HVAC license or license assistance may be provided, with emphasis on safety and customer satisfaction.

Qualifications

• At least 2 years of RESIDENTIAL HVAC installation experience.
• Willingness to lead a helper and manage on-site tasks.
• Working knowledge of local inspection codes.
• Journeyman HVAC License (Certification assistance may be available).
• Strong customer service and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Disassemble and remove old systems, then install, start-up and troubleshoot new replacement HVAC systems in residential settings.
• Manage job sites with a helper and coordinate with customers.
• Perform inspections readiness, ensure compliance with codes and safety standards.
• Participate in training opportunities and maintain high standards of workmanship.

As an AOR / HVAC Installation Mechanic, you would disassemble and remove old systems, then install, start-up and troubleshoot (if needed) new replacement HVAC systems in residential settings.

Qualifications

• Comfortable in a Lead role with a Helper assigned.
• Working knowledge of local inspection codes.
• Journeyman HVAC License (Certification assistance may be available).
• A proven work ethic with excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Willingness to go into attics, crawl spaces and lift heavy objects on a regular basis.
• Willingness to put in long, sporadic hours and/or weekends when necessary.
• All candidates are required to undergo pre-employment drug screen, background checks and must have a valid driver’s license with good driving record.
