Job summary

Veteran Air - Air Conditioning, Electric, Generators, Plumbing & Drains is seeking a skilled HVAC Installer to join our field team in Fort Myers, FL. You will install, service, and troubleshoot residential HVAC systems and related equipment, following schedules and safety standards.

With 1+ year of experience, a high school diploma or trade school, and a valid driver’s license, you’ll collaborate across departments, stock trucks, and guide assistants while delivering high-quality work and

Qualifications

• HVAC Installer with 1+ year of experience.
• Valid driver’s license with clean record.
• Willingness to pass pre-employment drug test and background check.
• Strong troubleshooting skills for installation challenges.
• Ability to work independently with safety and quality standards.

Responsibilities

• Analyze work orders and travel schedules, listen to customer concerns, and resolve issues.
• Collaborate with other departments to improve processes and communication.
• Ensure parts and equipment are requested in advance and trucks properly stocked.
• Document work performed according to procedures.
• Provide guidance and mentorship to assistants or apprentices.
• Maintain tools and equipment in operable condition.
• Stay current with HVAC codes and standards.
• Maintain professional conduct and appearance on site.
• Drive and service a box truck; ensure it is operational.
• Perform additional duties as assigned by supervision.

What You'll Do

• Serve customers by analyzing work orders, following travel schedules, listening to concerns, and solving problems
• Collaborate with other departments to improve processes and communication flow
• Ensure all necessary parts and equipment are requested in advance and that the truck is properly stocked for each installation job
• Document work performed according to company procedures
• Provide guidance and mentorship to assistants or apprentices
• Maintain personal tools and equipment, ensuring they are in operable condition
• Stay up to date with HVAC codes and standards
• Maintain professional conduct and appearance in all work settings
• Drive and maintain a box truck, ensuring it is properly serviced and operational
• Perform additional duties as assigned by the supervisor or manager

What You Bring

• 1+ year of experience as an HVAC Installer
• High School Diploma, GED, or Tech/Trade School ( strongly preferred )
• Valid U.S. Driver’s License with a satisfactory driving record
• Willingness to submit to a pre-employment drug test and background check
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot installation challenges
• Ability to work independently while maintaining safety and quality standards
