Job summary

Westinghouse Electric Company LLC seeks a Transmission Line Principal Engineer on behalf of WECTEC Staffing Services for a 1-year contract (W-2). You will manage design of transmission line projects for Wind, Solar, and Battery Energy Storage, and stand-alone lines.

Responsibilities include leading design, coordinating with Early Stage PM, and delivering design deliverables for bids and construction. Travel within North America is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Mechanical or Civil/Structural Engineering required.
• Minimum 7 years in development, design, engineering and construction of HV transmission lines.
• Strong knowledge of transmission design and ability to provide value engineering.
• Willingness to travel within North America.

Responsibilities

• Lead design for transmission line projects from conception through construction and commissioning.
• Coordinate with Early Stage PM and Development Group on project requirements.
• Support proposals with design deliverables such as IFB, IFP, and construction drawings.
• Limit scope to transmission line design; do not perform substation or control design.
• Ensure design quality and clear communication across teams.
• Contribute to proposals and procurement documentation.
