Electrical Consultants, Inc. (ECI) is seeking an experienced Substation Senior Engineer for the Portland, OR area ( Tigard, OR). The role focuses on configuring and producing engineering drawings for electro-mechanical and microprocessor protection relay systems in high voltage substations.

The candidate should have a BSEE or MSEE with 5+ years in substation protection, strong communication, and the ability to lead a team. Occasional travel is required, and ECI offers extensive benefits.

Qualifications

• Experience specifying, configuring and producing engineering drawings for high voltage substations.
• Strong background in power system protection and control.
• Excellent verbal and written communication; able to lead a team.

Responsibilities

• Configure and produce engineering drawings for installation and commissioning of protection relay systems in HV substations.
• Produce one-line, two-line, schematic and wiring diagrams for substations.
• Mentor less experienced staff and coordinate design efforts with teams.
• Occasional travel to project sites as needed.
