Job Description

L3 Harris is seeking a highly motivated HR Business Partner to support the Maritime Enterprise Autonomous Systems (EAS) division and Operations client groups in the Undersea System Solutions (USS) business. The role focuses on aligning HR strategies with business objectives, ensuring effective workforce utilization to achieve organizational goals. This position requires broad HR knowledge and strong project management skills. The HRBP will manage complex projects or processes with general oversight and communicate across functions to gain cooperation on operational processes, practices, and procedures.

Location: Palm Bay, FL

Schedule: 9/80 Regular Scheduled (Every Other Friday Off)

Responsibilities

• Strategic Alignment: Align HR strategies with L3Harris Integrated Mission Systems objectives, ensuring consistent application of annual HR processes, initiatives and programs.
• Communication: Maintain excellent verbal and written communication with diverse stakeholders including union leaders, employees, management HR teams and Centers of Excellence.
• Advisory Role: Act as a consultant to management on HR-related issues, providing guidance and recommendations.
• Workforce Staffing: Lead strategic staffing, talent development and retention initiatives with Operations leaders and COEs to ensure necessary skills and competencies.
• Performance Management: Support performance management processes that drive high performance and employee development.
• Change Management: Partner to implement organizational change initiatives and facilitate effective two-way communication.
• HR Metrics and Analytics: Utilize HR metrics to inform decision making and measure initiative effectiveness.
• Teamwork: Collaborate with COEs to deliver solutions, programs and policies that support strategic goals, promote diversity and maximize people success.

Basic Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree and minimum 9 years of relevant experience. Master’s/Graduate Degree and at least 7 years of related experience. In lieu of a degree, a minimum of 13 years of related experience.
• Experience working in HR with strong problem-solving skills and ability to operate under general direction.
• Ability to exercise independent discretion and judgment to achieve outcomes.
• Strong attention to quality, process detail and proficiency with Microsoft Office tools including Excel (VLOOKUPs and pivot tables).
• Comfortable delivering timely results and identifying problems to drive solutions.

Preferred Qualifications/Skills

• Experience in organizational design.
